Interesting to Note:
This website gets it’s name from scripture in the Bible. Whether the English version, “Jehovah” is used or the Hebrew version, “Yahweh” is used, the whole point is that WE DO USE the Great Name of GOD. See Deuteronomy 6:4; Zachariah 14:9; Mark 12:29.
The Tetragrammaton in Hebrew characters, יהוה (YHWH or JHVH) are used in both the Hebrew text and the Greek Septuagint. If you check in the foreword of your Bible, you will see God’s Name has been taken out and/or removed by translators not once or twice but thousands of times. This happened sometime during the second or third century C.E. and the scribes removed the Tetragrammaton from both the Septuagint and the Christian Greek Scriptures and replaced it with Ky′ri·os, “Lord” or The·os′, “God.”
I believe God’s Name is VERY, VERY IMPORTANT, not just to me but to God Himself. Jesus demonstrated this importance (Luke 4:16-21) when he stood in the temple and read from the bible, Isaiah 61:1 & 2, where the Tetragrammaton occurs twice. Jesus pronounced the divine name in accordance with his determination to make his Father’s Great Name known as can be seen from his prayer to his Father, in the Bible book of John, Chapter 17:
“I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. . . . I have made your name known to them and will make it known.” -- John 17:6, 26.
Is not your own name important to you? So why would it not also be important to the True Living God, who made heaven and earth? What you believe is entirely up to you.
Then you must ask yourself “who” would benefit if the world did not know the Great Name of GOD???
